About social
These projects support communities by improving quality of life and stimulating economic development. This is achieved through initiatives like improved household technologies and access to everyday necessities like clean drinking water.
How it works

  • Project developer takes funds from carbon offset purchases to provide subsidies on the cook stoves, assembly, training for local women, and project management
  • Cookstoves are provided to the local community at an affordable rate
  • Cookstoves eliminate the need for women to gather wood to be used for fuel, or purchase fossil fuels, also eliminating any subsequent CO2 emissions
  • As a result, kitchens are healthier and safer and women in the community are empowered through training programs

Proof of Carbon Accounting
To ensure transparency, Green Story Carbon Registry tracks issuance and retirement of carbon credits for all projects on the Green Story offset platform.
